Bion and Dreaming
Speaker: Anne Samson
Anne will discuss Bion’s main ideas as she sees them: container/contained, beta elements and alpha function, L,H,K and O. Anne will talk about dreaming in relation to O with particular reference to James Grotstein’s recent book “...But at the same time and on another level.” (Karnac 2009).
Before training as a psychotherapist on the CFITC Anne taught literature for many years at the then Newcastle Polytechnic. When Anne moved to the Midlands she taught part time at the University of Warwick, mainly in medieval literature in which she has a doctorate. While training and for some time afterwards Anne worked as a counsellor in a rehab for people with drink and substance misuse problems. Since then Anne has worked in private practice.
This event is free for WMIP Members. For non Members a fee of £10 will be charged.
